Rollout 2022

6.6. 2022

On May 27, the presentation of this year’s Dragon e2 monopost took place at FSI. A Czech F1 commentator Tomáš Richtr, a graduate of BUT FME, accompanied this event throughout the evening. The introductory word belonged to the rector of BUT doc. Ing. Ladislav Janíček Ph.D., MBA, LL.M. and the Dean of FME doc. Ing. Jiří Hlinka Ph. D.

On this occasion, visitors could try out what it’s like to drive a formula on a simulator and test a second simulator from All4sim, which also trains racing drivers. Dragon e1 and Dragon X monoposts from the previous season, the main inspiration of the new formula, were also exhibited.

Compared to previous cars, our new monopost has undergone major changes, we have switched from 13” to 10” carbon wheels of our own production, the battery voltage has increased from 400 to 600 V and we have reduced the weight of the monopost by 68 kg thanks to replacing driverless drivers elements.

The drinking regime was ensured thanks to Koli, Moravia, Rebel Bean and Red Bull, who provided us with refreshing lemonades, beer and coffee.

At the end of the whole evening, there was an auction of 5 items, namely a carbon clock, a blueprint of a new monopost, a front pressure wing from Dragon X, PSB bow ties and ammunition from Dragon e1, thanks to which CZK 37,500 was raised for the Czech Red Cross.

The whole evening was broadcasted live and is stored at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9ktvL2USVs and we look forward to the first time we test our skills in the electric category with other teams in future races.
